If you want to further increase the efficiency of the harvest, you have to use other methods. One of them is called transferring - it is the key to a more efficient harvest because it puts an end to annoying delays. The proof of this is the Fliegl PomOver transfer belt.
The Fliegl PomOver transfer belt is used at the transition from the field to the road. The potato harvester harvests the potatoes and loads them onto a Fliegl push-off trailer. When the push-off trailer is full, it transfers at the edge of the field via PomOver to a truck that continues the transport.
THE MAIN BENEFITS OF THE POMOVER POTATO TRANSFER BELT
Fast transfer at the edge of the field with trucks
Greater efficiency, no crop interruption - potato digger continues to work during the transfer
Transfer belt can be mounted from ASW 271 and above
Transfer and clean the potatoes in one go
Transfer height infinitely adjustable from 3 - 4.5 m
Cleaning rollers
TECHNOLOGY AND FUNCTION OF THE POMOVER TRANSFER BELT
The belt over which each individual potato then runs is specially designed for harvesting potatoes – a bar spacing of 22 mm ensures ideal transport and throughput of the fruit. Fliegl provides PomOver with worklights as standard for good illumination and an adapter with forklift mount. A surveillance camera is available as an option to immediately control the transition from push-off trailer to PomOver.
Another option is a carrot strap with a bar spacing of 12 mm, which adjusts the transfer belt for the carrot harvest.
Fliegl PomOver can be attached to all Fliegl push-off trailers from a length of 7.10 m (ASW 271 Gigant). It extends the range of applications of the Fliegl ASW and can also be retrofitted.
The Fliegl PomOver transfer belt is just one piece of the puzzle in the harvesting process – but as the linchpin of the transfer process, it is a decisive factor. Where potatoes are harvested on a conveyor belt, the speed and efficiency of the entire harvest increase.
The potato harvester harvests the potatoes and loads them onto a Fliegl push-off trailer. When the push-off trailer is full, it transfers at the edge of the field via PomOver to a truck that continues the transport. The big plus in efficiency is avoiding interruptions. During the transfer process, the potato harvester can be used permanently without unnecessary breaks.
The PomOver transfer belt is attached to a Fliegl push-off trailer and driven by the tractor via a load-sensing unit. The central control unit (the control panel) is located on the side of the PomOver; as an option there is a radio remote control. The Fliegl PomOver can be individually positioned via four hydraulic folding options.
The transfer height can be infinitely varied from approx. 3 to approx. 4.5 m. The exact adjustment prevents excessively high drop heights - to avoid damaging the potatoes. During the transfer Fliegl PomOver cleans the potatoes. Four cleaning rollers free the harvest of any adhering soil residue.
